Tambov Region in Central European Russia exported 526,000 tons of grain during the first five months of 2018 — three times as much as in January-May last year. Tambov exports its grain to Egypt, Tunisia, Yemen, Azerbaijan and the EU. The region’s supplies to the domestic markets from January through May increased by 20% on last year to 339,000 tons. AO Kuzbass Poultry Farm in Kemerovo Region, the Urals, exported more 1,180,000 chicken eggs to Mongolia during the first five months of 2018, said the Kemerovo Regional Directorate of Agricultural Supervision. Krasnoyarsk Territory in Central Siberia exported over 136,000 tons of grain, grain byproducts and rape seed since the beginning of the year. Wheat accounted for most of the region’s export (125,100 tons) in the first months of the year. Krasnoyarsk’s export of oilseed slid, however, to 4,500 tons, oats to 2,400 tons and animal bran feed, to 4,300 tons. Altai Territory exported 308.8 tons of its ice-cream to China and almost 12 tons to Mongolia in 2017. In the first two months of 2018 alone, Altai’s exporter, OAO TD Russky Kholod, shipped six consignments (72.12 tons) of ice cream to China and one (2.14 tons) to Mongolia. Source: amic.ru
